We are just after going live with ByDesign and have a couple of questions on printing labels for inbound processes and production output.
We can create the labels fine and the system will generate the number of labels and split out the quantity across the labels as required for both inbound and production output. However, we then have to go into each label, preview, and then print them out individually to the label printer. I've tried setting up the SAP Collaboration Window for the warehouse user to print out automatically but that just shows them in the Printing windows as having been printed and nothing is sent to the printer.
I've also set up the Print Manager in our test system to see if that will work for production but again nothing prints to the printer. The print manager shows the jobs being processed but nothing physically prints on the printer.
Both printers are network printers with static IP addresses and will print out the labels fine individually but if there are over 200 labels to print then it turns into a rather large and cumbersome task.
The other solution we can go for is just to preview one label and then on the printer itself select the quantity to print out - will this cause issues when scanning the materials for stocktake?
