I include some screenshots for visualization. I did the same for some test cases a while ago. I created a company and then changed the company name.
In the screenshot - yellow highlighted - you see the name of the company.
Red highlighted is the name of the associated business partner (the company 20000 - MK Company is a potential business partner (supplier/ customer) for all other companies in this tenant).
Here you see that the company uses the new name, the business partner uses the old name.
The same applies for all address related fields. They are also not updated.
When you now double click on the Business Partner ID and change the name here (if required at all), then the name will change for the Business Partner in the flavour customer and supplier as well.
