Appreciate if somebody could clarify our Project Plan Schedule Queries:-
- After we update the Status of a particular Project Task to be completed, the Gantt chart will not be updated. As per the manual, it says we have to push the "Schedule" button in order to trigger it to recalculate. But, the Schedule button is always greyed out, how can we reactivate the recalculation in this case.
- The Task Start and finish Date is not reflected in the Scheduling Tab in the project plan after we changed the status to "completed". Thus, in the "Project Performance by Project Structure" report, those two fields, Actual Start and Actual Finished Date are showing "#". Does it mean that we will have to update both the "Scheduling Tab" and "Basic Data" Tab at the same time?
- For project tasks having "Finish-to-Start" dependencies relationship with Predecessors, we can still change the status to complete even the "Predecessors" are not yet finished. Is the dependencies relationship just for project planning purpose and not for controlling purpose?
We are planning on rely on SAPbyD to do our Project Management and hopefully somebody can help clarify our understanding.
